After months of digging into xAI, it's time to take on the first question on the board: how did xAI end up in Memphis? A lot of people have pointed at the Greater Memphis Chamber. But what was EDGE's part in all of this?
EDGE is the Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis and Shelby County. It runs the local tax break program and manages the Port, and it signed the Pidgeon land lease with CTC Property, which EDGE calls an xAI affiliate.
